Sylvia has been in the beauty industry since 1993. She is a graduate of Christine Valmy for Makeup and Esthetics, as well as Capri Institute for Cosmetology. A master colorist and makeup artist, Sylvia holds multiple certifications for her hair color expertise in Redken, Organic Color Systems, Framesi Master Hair Color, Ingénue by Michael O’Rourke, Wella International Color, L’Oreal Color Works and Clairol. She specializes in color correction, double processes, highlights and lowlights.
Sylvia is certified in Great Lengths 100% natural human hair extensions based out New York, New York.
Her makeup certifications include Sebastian Girlesque and Sebastian Trucco Bridal makeup, as well as Couleur Caramel Natural Makeup. Sylvia has done editorial work for various publications, including Montclair Magazine, and her work has been seen on television- she has done screen ready makeup for the Discovery Channel and Channel 9 News.
She has volunteered her time and talents as a makeup artist at the Diabetic’s Gathering, held at Gotham Hall in New York City, for women who are living with diabetes. Sylvia specializes in bridal makeup, black and white photography makeup, as well as makeup for film and television.
